To celebrate our 50th anniversary, the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia has assembled Australia’s leading experts and commentators to discuss the latest thinking and knowledge on a broad range of social issues.
Speakers include Chief Scientist Dr Cathy Foley AO, Convenor of the UNESCO UniTwin Network for Inter-Religious Dialogue and Intercultural Understanding Professor Fethi Mansouri, Human Rights Commission President Professor Rosalind Croucher AM, former Australian of the Year Professor Patrick McGorry AO, Grattan Institute CEO Danielle Wood, Indigenous leader Professor Ian Anderson AO, plus Academy President Jane Hall, journalist Michelle Grattan AO, Academy President-elect Professor Richard Holden, Indigenous sociologist Professor Maggie Walter, health expert Stephen Duckett, and many more.
With six presentation sessions, three roundtable sessions and 50 speakers, this Symposium will focus on solutions, offering insight and clarity to assist policy-makers and leaders to make decisions about Australia’s future.
